The Comberbach Mummers are also known as the Comberbach Soulcakers. This is because the prime performance by the Mummers is the Soulcaking Play performed for two weeks starting on all souls day each year. Our part of Cheshire supports several Mummers groups but together with the ajacent village of Antrobus they are one of the original and long established groups in the UK, hence the World!
